Save Terabytes of Data Transfer!

CaptureCAM files are generally 50% to 90% smaller than files created by competitive products. This equates to many terabytes (thousands of Gigabytes) in data transfer saving and required storage space over time. In large organizations, one of the primary obstacles limiting the simultaneous distribution of training materials to many employees at one time, is the ability of servers to cope with the high demand of data to be transferred. CaptureCAM files help reduce this load simply because of the extremely reduced file size. Rollout to an increased number of employees will save time and reduce the level of staggered deployment.

EXAMPLE:                   50% to 90% DATA TRANSFER SAVING

One training course consisting of 30 CaptureCAM training files of an average file size of 1 Mb each, to be viewed by 10,000 employees equals a total data transfer of 300 Gb, if viewed only once.

The average file size of this same set of training files created in alternate product, will be two to ten times larger in size, resulting in a data transfer of 600 to 3,000 GB

TOTAL saving of transfer on this one training course = 400 to 2,700 GB

Using these figures and multiplying the number of training courses to 10 and the number of employees to 50,000 would result in a data transfer saving of between 15,000 to 150,000 GB, (15 to 150 Terabytes).

EXAMPLE:                   50% to 90% SERVER SPACE SAVING

Based on the figures in the above example. 10 training courses would require server space of only 300 Mb using CaptureCAM files, versus 600 Mb to 3 Gb with an alternate product.

As the number of training files increases with time, the need to duplicate files across a number of servers can help increase the ability to serve users. Utilizing CaptureCAM files will greatly reduce the overall amount of server spaced utilized.
